  Reviewing takeout cheeseburger platters. Ordered 3 burgers. Took about 20 minutes (not too bad). Very friendly ladies working behind the counter. The burgers were not dripping with grease! We were impressed. The beef patty was delicious and cooked well. Tye fries were standard store bought crinkle cut. The bill was only $32. We'll be going back next time we're on the Island.

  They claim to have the best Fish and Chips on the Island...and it WAS pretty amazing, though I give the edge to Pirate's Quay in Charlottetown. Friendly staff, quick service. We went before the height of tourist season, but it seems clear this place is designed to handle big crowds. The layout of the dining area was a little awkward, with a restroom opening right into the dining area.

  Firstly - By the Bay gets 4 stars because of their service, not their food. This is 100% authentic Island friendliness. It's also a diner for Rustico locals as well as travellers, and as such it isn't an over-priced tourist trap.
  
  The breakfast food is a solid 3 out of 5... you won't be wowed by anything. But you don't need to be - you know what you're getting and its at a great price. Again, friendly service is how this place earns 5 stars. Average the two and you've got a nice little 4 star spot tucked away in North Rustico.
